I hope I am finally coming out of the worst attack of allergies in years.  I have suffered deluxe this past week.  I'm certain I have had Mt. Cedar Fever going by the "throat on fire" I had at the onset of all this.  Pollen counts in our region have been off the map!

Does anyone know why a steroid nasal spray would key up myoclonus?  I thought the first time this happened with Flonase a few years ago, it was only coincidence.  This time with Nasonex, I now know it isn't.  But then everything from Centrum Silver to a common B-12 shot fires it off for me.

I'm one rather complex case.

Thanks-

Hi Tman,

I do not know anything about the meds you mention but -

you also mention-

I am not sure where you live in relation to the areas affected by Hurricane Ike- but wonder if you may be getting pollen or other things carried on the wind- from the areas affected by that hurricane a couple weeks ago.
Weather that is the case or not, if you have allergies, a good air purifier may help take some pollen and dust out of the air.

I know in some areas affected by other hurricanes in the past, friends told me that there was alot of smoke in the air - from people burning debris. And at times it would get pretty thick. So I wonder if that could also be  happening in the areas damaged by Ike?

Hello, QB,

I wish Ike was part of the picture--we'd have some pollen drowning rain!  Actually, our location is considered to be the worst in the state, possibly United States for pollen.

We do have an air purifier, but when it gets this bad, it does little good.  It wasn't a cheap one either!

I'm feeling better today, possibly due to a wind direction change.  Maybe I'm coming out of this.  We have Mt. Cedar hills south of the city and when the wind is out of the southeast, south or southwest, it can get bad.  It blows from those directions 90% of the year.

Anyway, thanks for checking in with us.  Maybe the worst of this is behind me now.
