As most of you already know, the Emory Tinnitus & Hyperacusis is closing effective 12/31/08.

The good news is that I was just appointed to the newly created position of audiologist for the Emory Dizziness and Balance Center at the Center for Rehabilitative Medicine within the Neurology Department of the Emory School of Medicine,

The Center is .1 mile from my present job within the ENT Department.

This means that I Will still be at Emory, and will continue to be involved with tinnitus and hyperacusis.  I will also continue on this forum.

Vertigo and Balance disorders have been my other passion over the years, along with Tinnitus and Hyperacusis.  They both effect the lives of many people, and I am happy to continue to be involved in helping with treatment,

The people that I will be working with: Ron Tusa MD, Ph.D. and Susan Herdman, Ph.D.  are world leaders in their field, as Dr. Jastreboff is in his.

The other bad news it that I go back to work full time after  "semi retiring" several times since 2004 (p00r me!)  cb

Thank You Dr. Nagler-I am looking forward to my new challenges, and to continue working with you on this forum.

I strongly this is the best forum on the subject and Dr. NAgler's "firm hand" keeps us all on task.

Good management is always necessary, but not always necessarily easy.  cb

Dr Chip,

I am glad to hear that you will be doing what you love-
and helping others ,
Congratulations on your new position -
and thanks for keeping us updated on what is going on-
with Emory and Dr. Jastreboff!

Sometimes things happen and we just have to make the best of them,
Because we can't change it.
I am glad things are going to turn out well for you!

I too enjoy this forum, and will miss it. I really hope that you will continue to help those of us from around here, who truly appreciate what you have  added by lending your voice and knowledge to this forum,. and others as well.

Best of everything to you Dr. Chip!
